                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    White Ribbon embarked on a significant project to develop and implement best practices and resources across Canada to address the root causes of gender-based violence. White Ribbon achieved this by increasing collaboration within the educational sectors and community partners to mutually learn from best practices and change harmful gender norms, attitudes, and behaviours. Working across Canada, White Ribbon and its partners continued the advancement of gender equity and cultivating systemic change for all. This includes supporting vulnerable youth, Indigenous, racialized, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities who experience higher rates of sexual exploitation.                                         

At the end of the project, White Ribbon contributed to addressing systemic barriers by advancing inclusive policies and practices, encouraging more equitable and effective sharing of resources, increasing networks and collaboration to accelerate systemic change and addressing persistent harmful gender norms and attitudes to support equity for all. Through this project, White Ribbon and its partners produced an extensive amount of educational resources that provide youth with the knowledge of the signs of sexual exploitation while building their resiliency and modelling healthier ways of learning consent and supportive relationships within their communities.
